This course will assist small water systems in British Columbia in developing an Emergency Response & Contingency Plan (ERCP)Knowing what to do, who to contact, and how to communicate helps to prevent unnecessary complications that can prolong outages, create additional expenses and lead to illnesses.  Developing an ERCP will provide you with a well thought out set of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency or Abnormal Operational Circumstance (AOC). Identifying corrective actions and procedures will help you to respond quickly to a drinking water emergency.

The goal of this course is to guide you through the process of developing a draft ERCP that satisfies the requirements of the BC DWPA.

EOCP Exam Preparation for Small Water Systems

Short description

The purpose of this course is to help you prepare for your Environmental Operator Certification Program (EOCP) small water system certification exam. To qualify to write the EOCP certification exam, the EOCP requires you to have completed a small water systems course and have 50 hours of field experience in operating a small water system.

This review course is divided into 12 units. Units 1 through 11 are structured as short answer questions, and cover everything from operations & maintenance to treatment and mathematics. The last unit is a comprehensive multiple choice knowledge test.
