Reservoir Cleaning & Maintenance
Wayne Muzyka, will discuss the general needs and requirements for regular reservoir cleaning and maintenance. He will also discuss the use of an ROV (remotely operated underwater vehicle) in carrying out internal inspections. ROV inspections can be done without entry into the reservoir, all inspections are done from topside within the proximity of the entry hatch and no physical entry into the tank or confine space entry required. Also, the reservoir stays online without disruption to service or the need for expensive unit sterilization.
Following topics will be discussed:
- Water quality issues in reservoirs
- Methods of reservoir inspection with a particular emphasis on ROV (inspection of internal components walls, floor, columns, inlets, outlets, drains, overflow, valves and circulation devices)
- Structural integrity
- Methods of reservoir maintenance and cleaning
